Author of a series of Rephlex records whose vision and magnificence aggravated rumors they were the work of Aphex Twin himself, Astrobotnia was withal claimed by the pronounce to be the work of "a new Rephlex signing," one Kristian Richards. Released during 2001-02, the ternary releases (respectively, a mini-LP, an EP, and a full LP) worked in similar territory to braindance compatriots like Bogdan Raczynski or Ovuca; in fact, the latter was previously fans' best guess at the gentleman behind the curtain.
